Morning Scramble

Look Great Naked (towel and you work-out)
This class is known to travelers as ‘The Zone’ work-out: a body sculpting work-out that utilizes no other prop than a towel! Continuous strength building…sure to keep the fires (and the fat) burning. An intermediate + level work-out that can easily be adapted to most levels by varying the amount of repetitions.


30/20/10

Target all the components of fitness in one class: 30 minutes cardio, 20 minutes sculpting and 10 minutes flexibility training. Order of cardio & sculpting may be reversed.

 

Step Circuit

Don't have time for weight training and cardio? This class consists of 3-5 minute intervals of step and 3 minutes of strength training, working the entire body from head to toe!

 

Abs & Ass
A time conscious lunch hour class that will focus on abs & core work, as well as those powerful muscles in your fabulous legs. You gotta feel it, to see it! Easily adaptable to all levels of fitness.

Well the title says it all! Many of us do not take the time to stretch on a daily basis and if so, we usually move through it way too fast. This can, and usually does lead to imbalances that often show themselves as pain down the road. Gift yourself with this bare bones class that will take you through a total body stretch…without rushing.

A calm oasis of basic stretching techniques followed by a guided relaxation/meditation segment that will ease tension from your physical, emotional and mental selves... a welcome balance for our bodies and our often hectic lives.

 

Bar Bands W.O.
This lunch hour class will focus on strength building using the weighted bars and resistance bands as a means to sculpt our bodies and add energy to the rest of our day. Suitable to all levels with modifications applied as needed.

 

CAA: Cardio, Abs & Ass
Enjoy your TGIF even more by coming to this class! The same great work-out as “Abs & Ass” with the added temperature increase feature of a 20min. cardio interval segment that precedes ‘those chosen’ body parts! Abs-olutely adaptable to all levels.

 

Sculpt Xpress
A non-aerobic, total body workout. This class requires no coordination and is for beginner to advanced exercisers, as well as men and women alike. Props include: step platforms, weights, dynabands, body bars, fitness balls, and exercise tubing. This express class gets it done in less than an hour!

Assisted by props at times, we will develop muscle balance and focus on correct/safer ways to approach daily tasks. Strong Seniors

This is a great class for active individuals looking to increase or maintain strength without going to the gym. Class will include exercises to improve core strength, flexibility and balance.

 

Cardio Buffet

Each week a different class, a different instructor. One thing will remain the same; a moderate to more advanced level class that will take you through an intermediate+ paced cardio work-out, followed by strength building, core work and stretch portions.


KettleBell Circuit Klass

Kettle bells originate from Russia and have been around for hundreds of years as the primary way of strength training in the military. This uniquely shaped weight specifically recruits the core and larger ‘power’ muscles of functional movement. As well as including controlled sculpting, plyometric and cardio stations, this circuit class will involve kettle bells in at least 2 of it’s stops. An ‘ab’ and stretch segment will be added to offer a beautifully balanced class.


“No Frillz” Bosu/Step & Sculpt

This class is great for those of us who love ‘step’ and are looking for a good work-out without complicated choreography. By personal preference, this class will offer the use of a step or Bosu as a cardio tool, a sculpting/strength section and stretch. All levels all welcome as the degree of challenge increases only if participants choose to use more risers, a Bosu or more dynamic versions of the taught movement.

 

CoreFlex Body Flow

This class is a blend of method, style, ideas and science; a dash of Pilates, touch of Yoga, and a 'sprinkling' of other 'goodies' results in a mind-body exercise class that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and energized. The hour you devote to yourSelf will benefit your strength, flexibility, posture, confidence and a feeling of wellBEing. Suitable for individuals new to exercise as well as the more experienced. Yoga Power Hour

Yoga-na-sweat during this fast paced power class that will blend vigorous yoga flow, free weights, and high energy music to build strength, endurance and flexibility.  

 

Hot Yoga

This 60 min "yang" style class is taught in a "hot" room of a comfortable 30*C. The "yang" style will focus at keeping the pace comfortable and will incorporate both repetitive and held poses. Throughout the series we will be working with the breath and body to improve focus, concentration, balance, circulation, flexibility and agility. 
This class is for all abilities.

 

Relaxx

Gentle yoga and guided relaxation - Indulge in a half hour of gentle yoga poses designed to release stress and ease the mind. The second half of the class is done comfortably lying down listening to one of a series of guided relaxation cds designed by a psychologist specifically to teach the relaxation response and to guide you on a unique journey of self discovery. In addition to bringing deep relaxation to your entire being, this class is an excellent precursor to meditation.

Yoga Flow Bliss

Yoga Flow is an invigorating vinyasa style practice where breath and movement ignite, harnessing strength, stability, flexibility and concentration. Using a combination of standing, balancing, seated, twisting and inverted postures, this athletic sequence links posture with breath, resulting in a powerful and detoxifying mind-body experience.

 

Strength & Stretch Yoga

This class will kick your flexibility and strength into high gear! A powerful and fun combination of core and full body strengthening poses followed by some repetitive lengthening poses to stretch those tight areas out. Get ready to feel those muscles working!

 

Sun Day Salutation

A 70 minute Yoga class taught by a rotation of gifted instructors week after week. The yoga flavour for each class will be determined by each teacher's style and background. A wonderful way to being a Sunday! With adaptations , is suited for all levels.

Tai Chi Chuan

An Experiential class in Tai Chi Chuan. Starting with gentle warm-up and relaxation, establishing balance and posture, simple tai chi forms to feel the body-mind balance in motion, finishing with calm centered breathing.


Core off the Floor

Tired of crunches? Take the Core Off the Floor! Get off the mat and put kettlebells, medicine balls, body balls, the BOSU and BOSU Ballast Ball to work for you! Learn to engage deep core muscles while you shift and shake, or throw and catch. Although most exercises will be conducted off the floor some core work will be conducted on the mat. The class will conclude with stretch & relaxation.

 

Kung Fu Conditioning

Improve balance, coordination, strength, concentration, and flexibility. These exercises have traditionally been used to improve and maintain superb health and vitality from youth well into old age. Defensive kung fu moves will be ingrained into your muscle memory resulting in confidence and quick reflexes. Adaptable to all fitness levels.

 

All About Balls

Big balls, small balls, round balls, and half balls, no matter what the size, this 45 min class will keep you moving and sweating with a variety of cardio and strength moves. A combination of the most popular pieces of Pilates equipment into one class and you get a workout fit for a champion. All levels welcome.

Get your Kicks

A power-packed hour of kickboxing cardio and boot camp strength training designed to improve your fitness, release stress and make you feel amazing! Intermediate to Advanced. Previous fitness kickboxing experience is strongly recommended.

 

Matrix Power Boxing

Matrix Power Boxing starts with a warm-up but then moves beyond traditional training, alternating between the latest, cutting edge fat burning and strengthening techniques (that use all the muscles of the body in all directions) and invigorating cardio-kickboxing combinations. Effective abdominal and back defining moves are used throughout the class for core conditioning with additional pilates style moves added during the floor routine (just think No Crunches!). A rejuvenating stretch and relaxation session follows.

 

Total Body Conditioning

Total Body Conditioning with intervals of strength training and athletic aerobic conditioning (no choreography). This class combines cardio fitness and toning for a complete workout.  Experience high-energy cardio training on the floor and the step, and body sculpting utilizing hand weights, body bars and more!

 

Teen Circuit & Core Conditioning
This class will have you breathing hard with a stop/start circuit style cardio segment, sculpt your body with a strength work-out and help you become more aware of your posture and core. Reservations are possible for 10 classes at a time. Drop-ins will be welcome based on space availability.

 

Teen Boot Camp
This action packed class combines intervals of cardio and strength exercises such as hand weights, bands, balls and skipping ropes. Core strengthening and flexibility work included for a complete workout. Bring a friend! All fitness levels welcome.

This is a true dance class. Each week will introduce a new dance style: warm-up, technique details, cross room exercises and especially choreography. Get that feeling of being onstage and dance like no-one is watching!

Retro DISCO Boogie
Come join me as we flash back in time to the ‘disco’ era. You’ll revisit the moves, the tunes, perhaps even the memories of what you were wearing (or still have in your closet) while you get a decent work-out. A moderate dance-cardio 30-40 minute segment is followed by core work and a good stretch/release to Donna Summer, The Commodores, … Ya baby!!!

 

Swing (dance) & Sculpt
“Swing” music definitely inspires a unique way to move. For the first half of this class we will learn basic swing steps that will bring about a certain ‘heat wave’ of it’s own. The second half will focus on body sculpting, core conditioning and a stretch. Absolutely adaptable to all levels of fitness.


Salsa Sizzler
Hot! Hot! Hot! Come feel the heat in this latino inspired class! With choreography influenced by latin style ballroom and Salsa, move in ways that will have you thinking you're on a mini-vacation. This class is adaptable to all levels of coordination and can be made easier or more challenging by choosing the variations that are right for you. Come discover the 'latin lover' within and dance as though no one is watching...and no one is!Class breakdown: 8-10 min.warm-up; approx. 40 min. of heart pumping moves; and 10 min. cool down and stretch.

Standing Pilates & Core Conditioning (Level 1 & 2)
After becoming familiar with the basic Pilates principles in the ‘Fundamental series’ and have learned how to adapt these to your own body, you are now ready to work with these classic principles and begin to apply this exercise philosophy to new positions and movements. This will be an exciting journey where you will have the opportunity to deepen your connection to your own body and witness ever increasing balance and strength from the inside-out. Feel the connection.

Pre-requisite: Completion of the Pilates Fundamental series or equivalent (note: the Fundamental series may be taken more than once, depending on each individual’s comfort level with these basic principles).


Mat Pilates 2 & 3:
In this class you will bring your Pilates experience and knowledge to the mat and get ready to go deeper in your practice. We will go through a classic Pilates repertoire that will encompass all positions from standing to sitting to floor work. You may be assisted and at other times challenged by the integration of various props. Adaptations will be offered throughout.
Pre-requisite: Completion of the Pilates Fundamental series, 20 Pilates ‘level 1 or 1-2’ classes and a minimum of 20 Pilates ‘mixed level or level 2 ’ classes.

 

Mat Pilates 1 & 2:
This class offers the opportunity for level 1 students to acquire experience and knowledge of the level 1 repertoire while ‘level 2’ students will be invited to deepen their classic mat Pilates technique with more challenging options for the same exercises. Selected props may be used to bring assistance or to add challenge to certain exercises. Adaptations emphasized throughout.
Pre-requisite: Completion of the Pilates Fundamental series.


Fundamental Mat Pilates
Welcome to the world of Pilates!
This series of 5 classes will introduce you to this exercise philosophy and to the basic principles that make Pilates such a unique and complete form of movement and stillness alike. Become more aware of your body, the way it moves in the world, your breathing, your posture and your "centre".


Registration is required for this series. Class size is limited to 8. You may also receive this series in a semi-private or private environment. Ask for details.

 

Pilates 2

Take your Pilates practice to the next level with this class. We will go deeper into the learnt Pilates level 1 repertoire and progressively add new exercises to this classic method. Selected props may be used to bring assistance or to add challenge to certain exercises.
Pre-requisite: Completion of the Pilates Fundamental series, a minimum of 20 Pilates ‘level 1 or 1-2’ classes.

 

Mat Pilates Mixed Levels
This class offers participants that have taken the Fundamental series and a minimum of 10 ‘level 1 or 1-2’ classes the opportunity to deepen their Pilates practice by adapting learnt exercises to their level of knowledge. Adaptations will be outlined throughout the class to remind participants to keep working at their level of comfort.
